Guide

How to create a virtual tourfor a property listing.

You need 360° stills, a tool to connect rooms, and a way to share the finished walkthrough. Here is the practical path with AtlaRoom — from shoot day to a published link buyers can open without an account.

Free to create and preview. Publish from $35 for 6 months of hosting — no subscription.

This is the kind of tour you are building toward.

1. Shoot one 360° still per room

Place a 360 camera at roughly eye height in the centre of each space. Avoid blocking doorways you will later use as navigation points. Export equirectangular JPEGs from your camera app.

  • Cover every room buyers should walk
  • Keep the tripod out of high-traffic sightlines when possible
  • Check exposure in bright windows before you leave

2. Create a project and upload scenes

In AtlaRoom, start a project and upload your panoramas as scenes. Set a sensible opening view so the tour starts where you want buyers to look first.

3. Connect rooms and add orientation

Link scenes so visitors can move through the property. Add a floor plan with field of view if you have one, plus info points, listing links or an enquiry form where they help.

4. Preview privately, then publish

Drafts have no public link. When the tour is ready, purchase hosting for the project (from $35 for 6 months), publish, and share the link, QR code or embed. Renew later only if the listing still needs the tour online.
